IBPS( Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) has issued official announcement for common written Exam 2014 for recruitment of Specialist Officers in 20 public sector banks.
IBPS Conducted Second CWE Exam for specialist officers in 19 public sector banks in March 2013 for which Common Interviews were conducted in May - June 2013 and selection process was completed in July 2013, thanks to the new Common Interviews system that has made the process easier for both Candidates and Participating Banks.
Now IBPS has came up with the Third Phase of Specialist Officers CWE in 2014. The posts covered in this common exam are as follows :-
I.T. Officer (Scale-I ) (Post Code - 1)- Agricultural Field Officer (Scale - I)(Post Code - 2)
- Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale - I)(Post Code - 3)
- Law Officer (Scale - I )(Post Code - 4)

Process of Selection
Candidates passing this Common Online exam will afterwards be called for Common Interview. Candidates passing the Common Interview will be called for selecting preference among banks and finally, candidates will be allotted to participating banks in order of preference and merit.

- Graduate and CFA/ ICWA/ Full time MBA/ Full time PGDBM (Finance)
- Experience required - Minimum 02 Years of service in Credit Appraisal of industrial projects in Financial Institutions/Banks,

- For Posts Other than IT Officer (Scale - I and II), Computer Literacy Certificate is Required.
- Apply for Only One Post, many applications by a single candidate won't be accepted.
Online Test Pattern
The written test will be conducted online which will have 200 questions for a total of 200 marks and to be done in 120 minutes. The structure

There is Negative Marking for wrong answers of 0.25 of the total marks for the question.
How to Apply
Application Fee is Rs.100/- (SC/ST/PWD) or Rs. 600/- (others).Payment can be done only through Online Mode
Payment of fees via the ONLINE MODE
- The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
- The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit/Credit cards/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.
- On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated whose print out have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of written examination.
